- Sponsored
tours of local homes as a fundraiser for the DGDC.
- Sold
bricks and built the planters that sit in the corners of the courthouse
yard as well as the scripted bricks surrounding them as a fundraising
project for the DGDC and to enhance downtown.
- Helped
pay to trim the trees for the downtown square as well as spraying
roundup to clear weeds and general downtown cleaning activities.
- The
DGDC and HOTT City jointly funded the planting of the flowers
to showcase the Court House yard this year.
- The
DGDC was responsible for the downtown being placed on the National
Historic Register as a historic district.
- The
DGDC was responsible for the last streetscape that was put into
place in the downtown. The DGDC incurred a huge debt as pledges
that were promised did not come in. Many of the fundraising projects
went to pay off that debt.
- The
DGDC has contributed over $30,000 in the last 4 years to the Fall
Festival to enable them to continue the event.
- The
DGDC has also donated to the Historical Society
- Donated
to the Arts and Cultural Plein Air Paint Out event

of courthouse lawn for Christmas lights and festival activities
